The Animated Film Association has its own booths at major international film market conferences as MIPCOM in Cannes (France), MIFA in Annecy (France), SICAF in Hangzhou (China); as well as licensing forums, such as Band Licensing Expo in London (UK), the Russian license forum at the Crocus Expo (Moscow, Russia), Licensed Film Market Seoul Character & Licensing Fair in Seoul (South Korea). In the booth the Animated Film Association has the opportunity to present its most profitable products, conduct business negotiations and attract new business partners.
Traditions of Russian animation go back generations to the Soviet past. We have an Animation School unlike the most Asian countries. On the world market the school is clearly underestimated and underrepresented. Russian animation is one of the few products that can be really successfully exported to the whole world with the relevant level and quality. Everyone who somehow faces Russian animation studios especially marks that at the level of creativity and at the level of performance their projects are often a head and shoulders above projects from mainstream countries.− The President of the Animated Film Association Ilya Popov.
